Synthesis feasibility documentation for patent applications
Patent attorney: produce enablement documentation from platform routes via the IDF exporter.
A patent application's enablement requirement obliges you to disclose how to make the invention. This tutorial uses platform-generated routes as documentary evidence for the experimental section of a patent specification.

Steps
- Submit the target you want to claim. Use moderate route length (3-6) to keep the routes plausible and concrete.
- From the result, identify the highest-confidence route with the most-developed reference coverage at each step. The feasibility score is your first sort.
- Walk each step's reference entries and pull the experimental procedures: reagent quantities, solvents, temperatures, workup conditions, characterization data when available.
- Open Patent Center → Invention Disclosures. Click New to create a draft and link the task you just reviewed. The draft auto-populates the target structure, the route's confidence dimensions, and the reference list per step.
- Fill in the disclosure-specific fields (problem solved, novelty, contribution). Save the draft as Draft until your patent counsel reviews; promote to In Review when you submit.
- Export the disclosure PDF for counsel. The PDF includes the structured route with per-step references, suitable as supporting material for the application's enablement section.
Output
A counsel-ready invention disclosure with platform-generated route data attached, defensible as enablement support. Save the PDF alongside the application file.
Caveat
The Invention Disclosure Drafts are starting material for counsel, not patent applications themselves. See the disclaimer on the IDF export.
